Well I opened up my laptop and it turned on all fine until it got to a blue screen, I think it’s a bios error or something, but it prompted for me to repair because some kernal file was corrupt or missing. Tried restarting it and now it won’t even boot up it just a black screen?
hav u got the boot up disks try that. when u turn it on keep pressing f12
From the little bit of info I would say that your hard drive crashed. The repair due to a corrupted kernal is one clue, rebooting to a black screen is another. Try rebooting again and going into the bios (if you can). Then see if you have a hard drive listed. See if a friend has a live Ubuntu CD and boot to that. If the laptop comes up fine in Ubuntu then it is your hard drive.
