Have you ever been to the Ramada London Hyde Park hotel?

I’ve made a booking there for 4 nights between the 15th and 19th of April for a double room. I was just hoping somebody on Y!A was there before. I have a few questions:
1) Can I change the double room to a twin room when I get there if one of the twin rooms isn’t occupied I phoned the hotel yesterday and the lady there told me that they don’t put the twin rooms on their booking websites because they prefer to give them to their old clients but we can get a double room if it won’t be occupied when we get there)? Do you think this is possible?
2) I used the Spring Break offer because it gave me a 100 pound discount. Do you happen to know if it includes breakfast or just the one dinner specified on the website?
3)Do the TVs at the hotel have premium channels so that we won’t get bored in the evenings( I know it has a rent-a-movie service but I don’t plan on renting them and plus, the movies at the hotels are old and boring)?
Anyway, thanks in advance

momo:E.mail them and ask what is included in your spring break offer with your reference number and also ask if you can have a twin room not a double if one is available. I have never heard of saving twin rooms for older guest.

Carrie S:It is illegal for them to not sell you a twin room if they have one available. I have checked on their website and they do have a twin option so I don’t know what that’s all about as it is clearly there on their website when you book. If all the twins are booked for those dates then that is the reason why they are not showing up and nothing to do with “older” guests.

I would imagine that if the offer does not say it includes breakfast that it probably doesn’t. However hotel breakfasts are usually pretty horrible buffet affairs that they charge out at £10 a head so you’re probably better going somewhere near the hotel for a much better breakfast.

Intrigued by your use of the word premium channels – do you mean adult pay per view by any chance? Anyway, I did a quick check and yes it does have pay per view channels. I can’t understand why you would think that the movies are old and boring as they usually have movies not available yet in the UK and change them every couple of weeks.
