Hmm… I think it depends on what the scholarship is for, but I wouldn’t. I believe a good writer should be able to use a limited space to convey an idea clearly and succinctly with a few good, solid ideas, rather than simply filling pages full of content.
However, it really depends on the scholarship in question. If it IS about having more of those memories, maybe you do want to emphasize the fact that you have a lot of them.
However, saying that you do without showing that you do is a weaker tactic than finding a way to say what you have to say in less space.
