um depends how good you are. and if your going for Division 1 very hard.

A lot goes into a player's eligibility for a scholarship. You need to remember that a full scholarship in any sport is rare and is reserved for the elite high school athletes. That being said, depending on your position and your value to a potential team you have as good a chance as anyone. I have no firm number on exactly how many scholarships are awarded each year, (a lot of factors go into choosing how many and what school gets them,) but I would say a conservative estimate for girls volleyball is 20. (Again this is a full scholarship.) Partial scholarships are more common and when combined with a merit scholarship can account for the majority of school expenses. Simply put, as with anything in sports getting a full scholarship isn't easy. But if you are a player that fits a need and you are training and playing at an extremely high level, you have a chance. I say work as hard as you can for that scholarship and you've got as good a chance as anyone. Just be glad your not a guy, they only give out about 5.

It's very very difficult. Division I schools can give up to 12 scholarships; a partial scholarship counts as 1, so only 12 of the rostered players can receive any kind of athletic scholarship. It's 4.5 for men's Division I but they are allowed to split that money up every which way.

There are fewer scholarships for Division II and none for Division III. However, I know more of my former high school/club players receiving academic support at Division III schools than those receiving athletic scholarships at Div I/II. DIII schools are happy to find academic aid for good students who can contribute to their sports programs. Keep your grades up -- that's very important.

To be looked at for an athletic scholarship, though, you'll have to be one of the top players in your area. You'll have to play on a high-level club team that regularly wins tournaments. You will have to work out hard and be in top condition. And get good grades and high college entrance exam scores so that the school doesn't have to worry about how you'll do as a student.

It's very very difficult.

It helps if you play club. But just start sending letters to college coaches and stuff. And its very important to make a video showing your playing style. Good luck!
