should work, but i would opt for core i7 with geforce gtx 570

It would be OK for gaming, it is about the same as a mac book pro, the only “bad” part would be the 5,400 rpm drive, if u can get a 7,200.

in the 15-16 inch category i’d recommend the N61JQ.
in the 17 inch category you should take a look at the G73JH.
These are of course what I’d recommend – you could probably go for some of their cheaper models and get more than adequate game play.
